In July 2011 the Australian Government provided additional funding to RFCSSA to provide assistance to rural enterprises in the Northern Territory, specifically the cattlemen and those small rural businesses suffering financial difficulty as a result of the live cattle export issue.

> 2010 AGM

The fourth RFCSSA AGM was held on the 19th October 2010 at the Royal Adelaide Show Grounds in the Goyder Mezzanine in the Goyder Pavilion. The Hon. Michael O'Brien, Minister for Agriculture, Food and fisheries, was the keynote speaker.  The appointments to the board of Peter Walker and Malcolm Pridham were announced.
